A 24-year-old woman was raped in an underground car park in Courbevoie (Hauts-de-Seine), on the night of Monday to Tuesday.

The suspect, who fled, is actively sought by the police, reports

Shortly before 11 p.m., the victim had just parked his car in the parking lot when the man attacked him.

After gagging and tying her up, the attacker searched her to steal her bank card and extracted her secret code.

He then raped her before fleeing on foot.

An open investigation

The victim immediately alerted the police, who came to the scene.

The young woman was in shock when the officials arrived.

She was transported to the forensic emergency room of Garches hospital for examinations.

Samples were taken.

A rape investigation was opened by the Nanterre prosecutor's office and entrusted to the judicial police.

As of Tuesday, the suspect was still nowhere to be found.

Investigators hope to be able to identify him through fingerprints and CCTV footage.
