Good evening,

we had in this newsletter

actually written before that Peter Feldmann is always good for a surprise?

The latest: The Mayor of Frankfurt met Vitali Klitschko at a congress in Prague on Monday and handed the Mayor of Kiev a draft of a city twinning agreement.

Seems ok so far, but the city councilors had decided that Frankfurt would only look into a partnership with a city in the Ukraine after the end of the war there, and Kyiv in particular was not mentioned either.

So nothing is okay.

Yanki Pürsün from the Frankfurt FDP was the first to notice that this is not possible at all.

It is also not possible for the mayor to call on his supporters (which ones?) not to put up posters, but rather to donate the money to the Frankfurter Tafel, because,

so Feldmann in his inimitable way, posters didn't fill you up.

The next day, the Frankfurter Tafel said, please don't want to be politically monopolized.

It all sounds funnier than it is.

After all, we are talking about the mayor of one of the largest cities in Germany.

It is no surprise, however,

that the new corona vaccine has been issued since Monday, this has been known for a long time.

Can it be called surprising that the demand is brisk?

That's what colleague Monika Ganster found out on Tuesday.

In the Frankfurt vaccination center, the Biontech product is vaccinated as recommended by the Standing Vaccination Committee: as a third vaccination for everyone from the age of twelve whose basic immunization or corona infection was at least six months ago, as a fourth vaccination especially for the elderly and especially vulnerable.

It is also no surprise

that the director of Hessischer Rundfunk likes public service broadcasting, but during a conversation in the Frankfurt press club, Florian Hager, who has only been in office since March, also made it clear that the processes at RBB are fee-financed will do broadcasters no good and that inflation will force them to increase austerity.

Uncomfortable, especially at a time when broadcasting is having to reinvent itself in the face of digitization (just like newspapers).

Anyone who listened to the eloquent Hager might at least think that HR with him at the top - young and yet already around a lot - need not be afraid.

And in addition

, the number of Hessians is higher than ever at 6.37 million

the McDonald's in Frankfurt's north end is being demolished, and colleague Matthias Trautsch comments as dryly as aptly: the gentrification of the neighborhood is now complete.

I wish you a pleasant evening

Yours, Manfred Koehler
