A few weeks ago, it was revealed that Carl-Johan Lundberg had received compensation for lost income despite not having had a job since 2021. After he was reported to the police by the Region, the police have now started a preliminary investigation, P4 Jönköping reports.
Carl-Johan Lundberg has several heavy assignments for the Moderates in the region and sits, among other things, on the regional board.
He has also been the party's election leader in the regional election.
He himself has admitted that he received SEK 34,000 before tax which he should not have had according to the regulations, but claims that it is a mistake, and that it "in some way went crazy".
He has also said that he will pay back.

When SVT Nyheter Jönköping reaches Lundberg on Tuesday afternoon, he himself has not had time to receive the information about the preliminary investigation, but comments:
