The trial of the Millas drama will continue without Nadine Oliveira, the school bus driver.

Victim of a cardiac incident in the middle of a session at the end of last week, she has since been hospitalized.

Faced with an empty dock, the families of the victims do not hide their anger.

The trial of the Millas drama takes a funny turn.

On her fifth day, Nadine Oliveira, the school bus driver who hit a train killing six and injuring 17 in 2017, did not return to court on Monday.

Victim of a heart attack in full hearing at the end of last week, she is still hospitalized.

Faced with a desperately empty dock, the families of the victims do not hide their anger.

"This trial is a disgrace"

A week later, tempers flare for the parents of the victims, like Fabien who denounces a trial that is not moving forward: "This trial is a shame. It's a shame for us victims. It's a shame for the civil parties. We are taken for idiots. Let's go to a real trial, let's start real debates because we are victims. Our children are victims and I think that our children have the right to have answers.

The trial must therefore resume Tuesday morning without Nadine Oliveira, the hospitalized driver who will be represented by her lawyers.

A blow for Stéphane Mathieu who lost his daughter in this tragedy.

"It's very disappointing because somewhere, we would have liked her to be present and hear what we have to say to her, we have very strong testimonies, it's a shame, but it's better that it continues without it than to stop the trial."

The defense lawyers, who hoped for a postponement of the trial pending medical expertise from their client, do not rule out filing new appeals.
