54 days before the start of the World Cup, the 31-year-old (53 caps for the France team) took part in a light training session punctuated by some jogging and stretching, according to a short video published by the London club on Twitter.

Kanté was injured on August 14 in the draw against Tottenham in the London derby (2-2).

He had felt a pain in his right thigh on a trivial movement and had limped out.

In the process, his coach at the time, Thomas Tuchel, since replaced by Graham Potter, was worried, describing his injury as "serious".

The defensive midfielder has missed eight matches in all competitions for his club, including six in the Premier League.

He also missed this month the two League of Nations meetings with France against Austria (2-0) and in Denmark (defeat by the same score).

During the previous international gathering, in June, the former Caennais had to leave the Blues due to a knee problem.

In the fall of 2021, he only played one of the seven matches for the France team.

The English championship resumes this weekend after the international break.

Chelsea, who only occupy 7th place, travel to Brighton on Saturday, surprising 4th, on behalf of the 7th day.
