The rescue service sent forces from Storlien, Åre and Järpen to the scene.

A force also came from Meråker, on the Norwegian side.

- The building, as well as a car, were not saved and we had to focus on preventing the spread.

We will now let the building burn down in a controlled manner, says Viktor Brandt who is the internal commander at the Rescue Service in Jämtland.

The owner of the house is said to have been at the scene, but no one is believed to have been injured during the fire.

- The force from Storlien and Meråker will stay and monitor during the evening and parts of the night, says Viktor Brandt.

What caused the fire is currently unknown.
