The University of Sharjah receives "first medical students" at the White Dress Ceremony

The College of Medicine at the University of Sharjah held a “White Robe and Oath of Loyalty” ceremony for the 247 first-year students affiliated with the College of Medicine, who passed the foundation stage at the university and transferred to the first year of the College of Medicine, in the presence of the Vice President for Medical Colleges and Health Sciences and Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Qutaiba Humaid , faculty members of the College of Medicine, students and their parents.

Dr. Qutaiba Humaid confirmed that the College of Medicine at the University of Sharjah had accepted 700 students last year in the foundation year, and 247 students passed this stage, and they are distinguished students, and today we celebrate them for their transition to the first year through the white robe ceremony, which is the tradition followed in colleges. It is an opportunity for students to meet with the Dean of the College of Medicine and members of the faculty and help the students to wear the white robe to mark their passage to a new scientific stage and then take an oath of allegiance to the university.

He stressed that the students who were dressed in the white robe today are the future doctors and we count on them to be creative and humanitarian doctors in the first place, adding that the University of Sharjah has a unique medical complex in the region, and it is constantly being developed and updated to keep pace with the developments in the world in the field of medical education. .

At the end of his speech, he addressed a speech to his student children, urging them to strive hard in studying and continue learning even after graduation, because the doctor's work is a continuous work to serve humanity, and he also urged them to enjoy their time at the university and participate in student extra-curricular activities.
