Putin relieved Chizhov of his duties as Russia's permanent representative to the EU and Euratom

The decree was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

Earlier, Chizhov said that a new representative of the country would be appointed to his position.

In his opinion, such an employee is needed in the European Union, despite the sanctions and severed contacts.
