Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's ceremony will be held on the afternoon of the 27th at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo.

It comes two and a half months after former Prime Minister Abe was shot and killed during a campaign for the House of Representatives elections on July 8.

A total of 4,300 people from home and abroad are expected to attend the Director General, and about 700 of them are foreign government officials or foreign ambassadors in Japan.

The Korean government condolence delegation is headed by Prime Minister Han Deok-soo, vice-chairman of the People's Power Emergency Response Committee Chairman Jeong Jin-seok, Ambassador Yoon Deok-min to Japan, and Korea-Japan Friendship Association Chairman Yoo Heung-soo.

Vice President Kamala Harris of the United States, Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, Prime Minister Anthony Albanage of Australia and Vice-President of China's National People's Political Consultative Conference Wangang will also attend.

For the first large-scale event since former Prime Minister Abe was shot and killed while under poor security during an election campaign, Japanese police have deployed 20,000 police officers to ensure the highest level of vigilance.

Ahead of the director general, police were deployed at major stations, terminals, and subway stations in Tokyo, and explosives were searched at Tokyo's Haneda Airport, etc.

As Prime Minister Fumio Kishida decided to hold the head of state without considering public opinion or opposition from the opposition, former Prime Minister Abe's director-general showed a split in public opinion.
