It will be the toughest in Motala, where some kitchens can suddenly suffer from the loss of electricity or water without warning, something that the Motala-Vadstena newspaper first reported.

In Söderköping, the school lunch will be prepared without electricity and will be served behind the Nyström school.

The Crisis Preparedness Week is carried out under the auspices of the Swedish Agency for Community Protection and Preparedness, MSB, for the sixth year in a row and aims to increase our resilience if we are hit by a social crisis or war.

MSB wants to see strengthened home preparedness

- The war in Ukraine, drought and energy shortages affect the production of food, and this has increased interest in home cooking.

That more people strengthen their home preparedness is important and it contributes to strengthening Sweden's resilience in the event of crisis and war, says MSB's director general Charlotte Petri Gornitzka, in a press release.

In Boxholm and Mjölby, the week is marked by a tip walk at the respective libraries.

The profit consists of a crisis box.

In Ydre, a meal is served to symbolize a crisis meal at school and at the nursing home.

More information about the Crisis Preparedness Week is available on MSB's and some municipalities' websites.
