According to TASS with reference to the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country, 44.53% of voters voted for the coalition of the Brothers of Italy, League and Forward, Italy parties.
At the same time, the Brothers of Italy party became the leading force, for which 26.39% of the votes were cast in the Senate and 26.44% in the Chamber of Deputies.
It is assumed that the leader of the political association, George Meloni, will be nominated as a candidate for the post of head of government.
Earlier, Italian President Sergio Mattarella called early elections to the country's parliament on September 25.
Voter turnout was 63.8%.
