British sanctions against Russia over the referendum

On Monday, the British government imposed sanctions on 92 Russian individuals and entities over Russia's holding referendums on annexation in the separatist regions of Ukraine.

Among the people included in the sanctions were Sergey Yelisiyev, who was appointed by Russia as governor of the Kherson region, and also included the leaders of Russia-backed Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhia, and two companies.

Britain has so far imposed sanctions on more than 1,200 individuals and 120 Russian entities, since the start of the war in late February.
