The US secretary of state,

entrusted Twitter with a comment on the result of the polls in Italy, which consecrated the victory of Giorgia Meloni's conservative coalition.

"After yesterday's Italian elections, we are

to work with the Italian government on our shared objectives", wrote the head of US diplomacy, specifying on which points he expects full cooperation: "Support a free and independent Ukraine, respect human rights and building a sustainable economic future ".

reiterated that "Italy is a fundamental ally, a strong democracy and a precious partner".
