A man suspected of domestic violence was arrested overnight from Saturday to Sunday in a HLM residence in Champigny-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne).

, the suspect allegedly stabbed his partner.

The police arrived at the scene around 5 a.m.

They found the victim, a woman in her fifties, in a bedroom.

She had taken refuge there with her 17-year-old son.

Investigation opened for attempted homicide

The 50-year-old had wounds on her head.

His Achilles tendon had been severed.

His companion then allegedly threw salt on the cuts.

The drunk man was found shirtless in the living room.

He would also have scarified himself.

The police found a bloody knife on him and a can of gasoline nearby.

An investigation was opened for attempted homicide and entrusted to police officers from the Champigny-sur-Marne police station.

The suspect, who was placed in a drunk tank after his arrest, is unknown to justice, according to the Créteil prosecution, quoted by our colleagues.

The victim was hospitalized in Bry-sur-Marne.

His vital prognosis was not engaged.
