“The steps, choices, reactions of the European Union to the war in Ukraine, which have been so far, have completely failed, since the sanctions have caused much more damage to Europe than to Russia,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

The politician stressed that the restrictions continue to negatively affect the European economy: an increase in inflation, prices for utilities, gas and food is recorded.

“And all this because of the sanctions, and the economy of the continent was in recession,” he concluded.

Szijjarto also said that the European Union is not currently considering the possibility of lifting sanctions against Russia.
