The Emirates Health Services Corporation revealed that it has implemented 11 advanced medical projects aimed at facilitating the journey of patients and health care providers, most notably cancer screening, promoting community mental health, and providing medical consultations through Metaverse technology.

The Foundation explained to "Emirates Today" that the first project is a child-friendly initiative, a global project that aims to apply best practices to protect, encourage and support breastfeeding in all health facilities of the Emirates Foundation and health services that provide maternity and maternity services.

The second project is cancer screening, which is specialized in providing a tool to assist the nursing staff in examining the three most important types of cancer for all patients, namely “breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and cervical cancer.”

The fourth project is "Community Mental Health", which is based on simplifying the workflow in the community psychiatry department, which is part of Al-Amal Hospital, in which the comprehensive psychiatric patient's file is reviewed, his condition tracked, and access is made if necessary.

The Foundation added: “The fifth project is (Early Alerts), through which alerts are sent to the primary health care provider of the patient’s condition before it occurs based on the patient’s data and health condition, and these data have been classified so that if they reach a certain number, alerts are sent to the health care provider to take Necessary measures before danger occurs.

The sixth project is “Healthcare Provider Examination.” This project enables the infection control team to document the care provided to health care practitioners in terms of examination and evaluation.

She added: "The seventh project is (school vaccinations), in which an integrated workflow has been included to provide the necessary vaccinations for students in different schools in the community through health information systems (vein) to ensure the general health of students."

She stated that the eighth project is represented in the "events related to artificial respirators", which works to provide an integrated workflow in health information systems (vein) for the infection control team to monitor all artificial respirators located in health facilities.

The ninth project is "Voice Tariff", which will help doctors to document patients' conditions in their records by giving voice commands, and the system will identify them and write commands through a single click and store them in the patient's file on a vein system.

The tenth project is Wound Care, a full nurse-led program in which patients are identified and managed proactively through a CDS-based worklist program and effective referral management, improving the quality of patient care and better health outcomes. The Foundation indicated that the 11th project is "Metaverse", and it aims to enhance and develop health care services and improve the customer experience by taking advantage of the latest advanced technologies, so that 3D virtual reality technologies "Metaverse" are used to develop the Meta Healthcare platform, for virtual medical consultation services.

This first-of-its-kind platform will allow customers to enter the virtual world through smart devices to obtain medical advice, which will expand access to health services to wide segments of society, and enhance their experience of obtaining the service with minimal equipment.
