“According to the information provided to me by the electoral commission of the Republic of Crimea, active voting is taking place in all five polling stations, which are organized in Simferopol, Dzhankoy, Kerch, Yalta and Evpatoria,” the senator said.
She noted that the residents of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, as well as the LPR and the DPR, are now making “a fateful decision about the future of their children, their land.”
“We, the Crimeans, are with them with all our heart,” Kovitili stressed.
The senator added that "our role today is to assist, to help our neighbors."
“Crimea is big, and in the capital of the republic we organized field election commissions that travel to municipalities to cover the entire republic, where fellow citizens of these territories live,” she specified.
On the territory of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, voting continues in referendums on the issue of joining Russia.
The procedure for expressing will will last until September 27 inclusive.
