Abdullah bin Zayed meets a number of foreign ministers in New York

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met separately in New York with a number of foreign ministers of the countries participating in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

His Highness met with His Excellency Dr. Faisal Miqdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Syria, His Excellency Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad in Morocco, His Excellency Stanley Kakubo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Zambia, and His Excellency Donica Gravala, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Kosovo and His Excellency Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.

His Highness' discussions with their Excellencies the ministers focused on a number of issues on the agenda of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, including food security, renewable energy, international cooperation in the face of climate change, as well as efforts to stimulate global economic growth.

They also discussed friendship relations, strategic partnership and areas of joint cooperation between the UAE and these countries in several sectors, including sustainability, renewable energy, investment, economic, cultural, educational, food security and other fields.

The meetings dealt with a number of issues of common interest in addition to the situation in the region and regional and international developments.

The ministers were also briefed on the efforts of the UAE in the climate change file and its preparations to host the COP28 Conference of States Parties next year.

The meetings were attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State, Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, and Ambassador Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Political Affairs, Permanent Representative of the State to the United Nations. and His Excellency Omar Ghobash, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Cultural Affairs and Public Diplomacy.
