A 26-year-old man tried to defraud a pharmacy in Orléans (Loiret) with a fake prescription in early September.

Summoned by the police, he was finally tried and sentenced;

On September 7, the young man went to a pharmacy and presented a prescription for thyroid treatment worth 3,700 euros.

Suspicious, the pharmacist invited him to come back later in the day to get the medicine.

Other pharmacies warned

The pharmacist quickly realized that the prescription was fake and notified the police.

The man was summoned on September 15 to the police station on September 15 but did not show up.

Again summoned on September 21, he was this time placed in police custody for "attempted fraud with forgery and use of forgery".

Judged, he received a criminal composition of 600 euros.

After these facts, the Loiret police have a warning to all pharmacies in the department to invite them to be vigilant in the face of this type of scam.
