“Issues of ensuring food security were considered in the context of the implementation of the agreements reached in July in Istanbul on the export of grain from Ukrainian ports and the unhindered access of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to the world market,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The parties also discussed the prospects for expanding business partnerships.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum that the West deceived countries in need of food with the export of grain from Ukraine.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Alexander Grushko said that the Russian side does not intend to put up with the current state of affairs in the food deal.
