Leaning over, flattening the clothes, and cutting off the thread, Wang Chuzhen, a 60-year-old poverty alleviation household, skillfully finished a brand new knitted sweater.

Walking into Chongqing Yingjin Garment Co., Ltd., Dade Town, Kaizhou District, Chongqing City, where she works, two intelligent production lines are producing at full capacity.

"Because of my poor health, I can't do heavy work. The work in the workshop is both easy and reduces the burden on the family," she said.

According to Wang Chuyuan, the person in charge of the company, in the past two years, the company's external orders and benefits have continued to increase, and the number of new jobs has reached more than 100, most of which are local poverty alleviation households.

In Kaizhou District, there are 19 such employment assistance workshops (bases), which have absorbed 518 rural laborers and 204 people out of poverty since the beginning of this year.

In recent years, Kaizhou, a traditional labor export region, is building an "employment bridge" by expanding employment assistance, broadening employment channels, and innovating employment services, so that returning migrant workers and poverty-stricken households can achieve stable and good employment at their doorstep.

Turn the spoon, start the pot, pour the juice, and a plate of dry grilled fish is fragrant.

The tall and thin young man in front of him smiled, this is his specialty.

His name is Li Falin, and he lives in Daping Village, Gaoqiao Town. He believes that mastering a skill is the foundation of his life.

"My mother died, my father is disabled, and a younger brother is in college, so the family is very difficult." Li Falin said that the family mainly relied on the cultivation of sweet potatoes and corn, and their annual income was only 2,000 yuan.

In 2020, when Li Falin heard the staff of the village committee publicize the employment skills training policy, his eyes suddenly lit up.

"The government provides us with free training and living allowances. I signed up for a one-month chef training and successfully graduated." He told reporters that the skills training inspired his love for cooking. After the training, he passed the "Rain Dew" Plan + "employment promotion special action, continue to complete a two-year secondary vocational study in Chongqing Changjiang Vocational Training School Chinese Cuisine Cooking and Nutrition Diet.

Today, Li Falin works as a chef in a restaurant in Chongqing, earning 6,500 yuan a month. He hopes to own a restaurant of his own in the future.

In recent years, there has been an obvious trend of returning migrant workers to their hometowns. Helping this group to find suitable jobs in their hometowns is the focus of local employment stabilization.

Hu Xiangbing, 36, is a member of the army of returning entrepreneurs.

In the clean and bright migrant workers returning home business park, Hu Xiangbing's company just received a new order.

"It's not easy until I start a business." Hu Xiangbing said that although he went out to work and learned some skills before, he didn't know how to operate or manage, and he was even more confused about the relevant policies.

"Everything becomes easier after the migrant workers return to their hometowns." Hu Xiangbing said, special counseling, regular training, policy publicity...all services are very thoughtful.

In 2021, the mentors of the Pioneer Park also helped the company apply for a small and micro enterprise credit loan, which relieved the financial pressure during the epidemic.

At present, 82,000 entrepreneurs have returned to their hometowns in the region, and 34,500 entities have been established, driving more than 250,000 people to find jobs and start businesses.

In early autumn, Daba Mountain was shrouded in mist, still green.

In the Zhuxi Ecological Paradise in Kaizhou District, 10,000 acres of citrus are waiting to mature.

In a 300-mu standardized citrus plantation on the mountainside, grower Xiang Zhou Guozai asked technicians about citrus maintenance techniques in detail.

"Technical services are all free, and professional guidance makes citrus better and more profitable." Xiang Zhouguo said that after returning to his hometown, he started the citrus planting and picking industry, driving more than 30 local farmers to find employment on the spot. After bearing fruit, the annual income is at least nearly one million yuan.

"Returning to their hometowns to start businesses not only brings capital and technology to rural development, but also brings new vitality to rural revitalization through the development of industries and drives the employment of rural labor force," said Peng Changguo, secretary of the Party Committee of Zhuxi Town.
