The UAE delegation participating in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly held several high-level, multilateral and bilateral meetings.
The Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al-Jaber, met separately with the Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Technology of the Maldives, Dr. Aminat Shona, the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Rwanda, Dr. Joan of Arc Mugwamaria, the President of the World Bank Group David Malpass, and the President of the 26th session of the Conference of the Parties Alok Sharma, President of the World Economic Forum Borg Brandy, Executive Vice President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans, and CEO of the World Resources Institute Annie Dasgupta.
Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar also attended the 12th General Ministerial Meeting of the Global Counter-Terrorism Forum.
For his part, Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, met with the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud. Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan had a fruitful discussion with the President of Burundi, Evariste Ndayishimiye, and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Moikitsi Majuro.

On the other hand, Omar Seif Ghobash, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Cultural Affairs and Public Diplomacy, attended a reception hosted by the International Organization of Francophonie, an institution working to spread the French language and political, educational, economic and cultural cooperation.
Sultan Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Development Affairs, participated in the United Nations high-level event on responding to urgent humanitarian needs in the Horn of Africa.
Assistant Minister for International Organizations Affairs Yaqoub Al-Hosani attended the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement, which discussed commitments to strengthen multilateral action to face global challenges.
