United We Can withdraw the order that it posed to the PSOE with the so-called

Darias law

, which aims to strengthen and expand the equity and universality of the public health system.

The

purple

ones will vote so that this rule can pass its first examination in Congress despite the fact that they have not managed to get a concrete commitment to introduce "limits to the privatization" of public health, as they were demanding.

That debate is simply postponed.

Thus, and after three days of talking "intensely" with the Ministry of Health and its partner, United We Can approve the summons made by the Department headed by

Carolina Darias

to "try to negotiate possible modifications" later, during the parliamentary process .

The

purple ones

have also realized that their votes could be decisive in overturning the first law that came out of the Council of Ministers.

What would have opened a huge crisis within the Government.

And it is that, the so-called

Darias law

generates rejection among the nationalist and independentist parties, who denounce that the autonomous powers in Health are "invaded".

That is why

the PNV, ERC, EH Bildu, PDeCAT and Junts

maintain critical positions.

Their votes, together with those of the opposition, would overthrow the law.

United We Can has gone from threatening not to vote this Thursday against the proposed amendments to the entirety to negotiating with its usual parliamentary partners so that they do not send the

Darias law

to the wastebasket.

What would happen if the amendments to the whole win the vote.

The spokesman for United We Can in Congress,

Pablo Echenique

, has indicated that he has already maintained contacts with

Gabriel Rufián

(ERC) and

Mertxe Aizpurua

(EH Bildu) so that the majority of the investiture "can exist" again in the vote and to reconcile the interests raised by these parties with the purple demands of setting limits.

In declarations in Congress, Echenique has justified his change of position in that "possible modifications of the text" will be addressed with the PSOE in the direction that they are proposing, although he has recognized that there is no agreed aspect.

"We passed the negotiation to the parliamentary process with the commitment to talk about these issues that concern us and agree on changes to the law," he said.
