The police received information shortly before eight o'clock on Wednesday morning that there was a threat on social media against Östra Real in Östermalm.
After watching the film in question, the police acted, according to Rebecca Landsberg, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Police.
- It was interpreted as a threat and based on that the police acted.
One person could be arrested in a place other than the school and a computer was seized.
Was not evacuated
The school never had to be evacuated, but the principal writes in a message to those concerned that the police were quickly on the scene to maintain security.
Nothing dangerous was found at or near the school.
SVT has applied for the school's principal.
Two different threats
Another high school in the inner city also received a threat.
The other school, located in Vasastan, decided to evacuate its premises after the suspected threat.
There are no suspects or detainees in that case.
The police are investigating the two incidents separately.
- We see no connection whatsoever between these two events, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl to TT.
Both incidents are being investigated as serious illegal threats.
