Kadyrov recalled that on September 21, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at Energodar, as a result of which one shell hit the territory of the station.
This caused damage to the safety pipe.
“When examining the scene of the incident, it turned out that the Ukronazis were shelling the nuclear power plant from American rocket launchers,” the head of Chechnya wrote on Telegram.
Evidence of this, Kadyrov stressed, was fragments of a large-caliber projectile found at the station.
Earlier, the chairman of the movement "We are together with Russia" Volodymyr Rogov said that as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military, the cooling system of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was damaged.
