BP's US branch said on the 21st that a fire broke out at a refinery of the company in Ohio, the United States, killing two employees.

  The company said in a statement on the same day that the fire was extinguished on the evening of the 20th and the refinery was closed.

  Videos on social media showed that on the evening of the 20th, thick smoke rose from the refinery and the fire was fierce.

The cause of the fire and the damage to the refinery facility are not yet known.

  According to the website of BP's US branch, the refinery has a history of more than 100 years and can process up to 160,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
