A man who went missing during the earthquake in Sichuan, China was dramatically rescued after 17 days.

This was possible because the earthquake occurred in a mountainous area, with wild fruits and abundant water.

According to Geukmok Shimbun and China Central (CC) TV on the 21st, a resident of Luding County, Sichuan Province's Gantzjiang Autonomous Prefecture, found Mr.

He went missing after parting with his colleague while awaiting rescue after the earthquake on the 5th.

The rescue team mobilized helicopters and drones to search for him, but failed to find him due to inclement weather and rough terrain.

Even villagers familiar with the terrain were added to the search for the missing person, and at around 9 am that day, a resident called for help, and Mr. Gan-wi was lying there.

At the time of discovery, he had wounds all over his body, but he was conscious and in good health.

Photos taken by the residents showed him emaciated and with a thick beard.

He said, "I took refuge in the mountains after the earthquake, but I lost contact with the outside world."

Gan-wi was taken to a nearby hospital by a rescue helicopter that was dispatched after receiving the report.

Netizens welcomed it as a miracle that it survived the aftershocks and the temperature dropped at night.

On the 5th, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Luding County, killing 93 people and leaving 25 people missing, including Mr.
