A military spokesman in charge of Myanmar has warned that just sharing or 'liking' posts on exchange sites such as opposing pro-democracy forces will impose up to 10 years in prison.

The military seems to be aiming to control information by suppressing the momentum of pro-democracy forces who are expanding their support through SNS.

A spokesman for the "National Governing Council" set up by the Myanmar military held a press conference on the 20th and pointed out that supporting an organization that opposes the military could be subject to prosecution.

On top of that, just sharing posts on exchange sites such as the "National Unity Government" launched by pro-democracy forces that continue to resist the military, or just pressing "Like", is the maximum crime of inciting people. He threatened to impose 10 years in prison.

He also indicated that providing goods and other items to pro-democracy forces is a serious crime and that citizens will be severely punished.

In Myanmar, which has been in turmoil since the coup d'état, fighting is still going on between the military and some pro-democracy forces. It seems that there is an intention to do so.
