The victim was found dead this weekend in the swimming pool of a house on the Tunisian island of Djerba.

Three Tunisians have been arrested for the alleged murder, a judicial spokesman said on Tuesday.

The three suspects, including "the fiancée" of the victim, are suspected of "intentional homicide with premeditation", said Arafat al-Mabsout, spokesman for the court of Medenine (south-east), on which depends the Djerba island.

According to local media, the fiancée, in her twenties, confessed to the murder with the complicity of the two other arrested suspects.

The court spokesperson did not reveal the identity of the victim but according to the French newspaper
