Al-Kazemi: Holding the Arab summit in Algeria is important to find a solution to Arab and regional issues

Today, Tuesday, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi stressed the importance of holding the upcoming Arab summit in Algeria to find a solution to Arab and regional issues.

During his reception at his residence in New York, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Al-Kazemi reiterated Iraq's "serious desire to build the best relations with the brotherly Arab countries and to support the fateful Arab issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause," according to a statement by the Iraqi government.

For his part, Aboul Gheit praised the efforts of the Iraqi Prime Minister in promoting the path of national reconciliation and his initiative for national dialogue, the Arab League's support for the Iraqi government, and its prominent role in easing tensions in the region by adopting a policy of dialogue and calm, and working to bring the different viewpoints closer.

During the meeting, Al-Kazemi reviewed the efforts made by the Iraqi government to adopt a meaningful national dialogue between the political forces, which paves the way for a way out of the current political crisis, helps maintain civil peace, and consolidate stability in Iraq.
