• A handrail was filed last week by the wife of Adrien Quatennens after an argument with her husband.

  • Without knowing the contents of this daybook, the deputy LFI revealed gestures which are similar to domestic violence.

  • At this stage, if the prosecution confirms an investigation, no prosecution has been initiated against Adrien Quatennens.

It is a case that embarrasses La France Insoumise but on which few elements have filtered.

This is the Adrien Quatennens affair.

Since the

Canard enchaîné

revealed last week that the wife of the LFI deputy from the North had filed a "handrail" with the police "after an argument", a lot of ink has flowed.

But in reality, what do we really know?

20 Minutes

takes stock.

The "Handrail"

The

Duck

has therefore revealed, Céline Quatennens has actually filed a handrail after a “dispute” with her husband.

Information that the couple has also confirmed in a press release in response to this leak in the press.

Except that to date, with the exception of the police, the person concerned and the Lille prosecutor, no one knows the contents of this handbook.

Sunday, Adrien Quatennens himself claimed to ignore what his wife had confided to the police.

A slap and possible harassment

To clear the ground, or because he was really unaware of the grievances transcribed in the handbook of his wife, Adrien Quatennens split, Sunday morning, a long press release detailing all that she could have to reproach him for.

He first announced his wife's desire to divorce before recounting in detail their last arguments on this subject.

He evokes violent gestures on his part, including a slap, and what looks very much like harassment by messages.

These revelations come from the deputy himself and are therefore not accusations made by his wife since, let us remember, the contents of the daybook remain unknown.

Lawsuits ?

In a first press release, sent by master Jade Dousselin, the couple's lawyer, Céline Quatennens had recalled "that she did not wish to file a complaint, nor that there be legal consequences for this handrail".

In a second press release, published on Sunday, the lawyer insisted that the revelations of the deputy are not worth “any recognition of the commission of an offense”.

She also asserts that she has not been made aware of "the existence of a preliminary investigation or legal proceedings in progress".

Contacted by

20 Minutes

, this Monday, the Lille prosecutor's office confirmed that it had seized the handrail filed by Céline Quatennens, and the opening of an investigation as part of its "proactive criminal policy for the treatment of domestic violence ".

The prosecution, however, did not specify the heads of this investigation, nor that proceedings were initiated.
