A major fire broke out overnight from Sunday to Monday in a warehouse of the Nicollin group, located in the Près d'Arènes district in Montpellier.

A 200 m3 stock of boxes and packaging caught fire, as well as a cell containing household electrical waste.

Four water nozzles were needed to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring cells, in particular to wood stocks.

The smoke spread to the SNCF line which passes nearby.

No casualties were reported, but the damage was significant.

This warehouse is one of the company's largest in the Hérault prefecture.
