Daniel Helldén (MP) was elected as an opposition councilor in 2011 in the city of Stockholm.

After the 2014 election, he became Stockholm's traffic councilor with a view to a society with fossil-free travel.

Next week, the assignment as traffic councilor ends, but he will remain as chairman of the traffic committee until mid-October.

Over the years, he has worked for the closure of Bromma airport and the introduction of more cycle lanes, but it has also been about electric scooters and lack of snow removal – issues that have occasionally created debate and where Stockholmers have had many opinions.

- There are those who get angry.

Big changes affect people's everyday life, but you have to live with that as a politician, says Daniel Helldén.
