A boat in great difficulty was rescued by a launch from the National Society for Sea Rescue (SNSM), this Saturday, off Clohars-Carnoët (Finistère).

The incident caused no casualties and no injuries, reports Le Télégramme.

An 11.5 m long pleasure boat coming from Le Croisic (Loire-Atlantique) suffered a breakdown in the middle of the afternoon.

The occupants shut down the engine after smelling a suspicious smell of fuel emanating from the cabin.

While inspecting the boat, they discovered a leak in the engine hold and alerted the emergency services.

The boat inspected to evacuate any danger

Mobilized, the SNSM sent a star on the spot.

The rescuers secured the crew of the boat, which included four people and two dogs, and made an inventory of the boat.

The launch was then towed to Concarneau (Finistère).

The victims were taken care of by the emergency services but none were injured.

The boat was inspected to verify that it presented no risk of fire or pollution at sea.
