In August, Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said that Western countries, by supplying weapons to Ukraine, are becoming accomplices in crimes against the civilian population of the Donbass republics.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, also noted that the West, in fact, became an accomplice in the genocide of the inhabitants of the LPR and DPR.
