Earlier, Marga said that Ukraine should cede Crimea and Donbass to Russia, Galicia to Poland, Transcarpathia to Hungary, and Bukovina to Romania.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Bucharest called his words unacceptable.

Marga declared his readiness to repeat and confirm all his statements.

“My words correspond to historical truth, international law and common interests, with the exception of the interests of today's propaganda, the statements of which will be considered erroneous the day after tomorrow,” Digi 24 quotes him as saying.

The ex-head of the Romanian Foreign Ministry noted that the reaction of Ukrainian officials and Western media to his words did not come as a surprise to him.

He stressed that no one could bring arguments that would refute his words.

“Ukraine is in unnatural borders.

According to all historical and demographic criteria, it has territories that can be ceded to its neighbors,” he concluded.

On July 15, the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Peter Szijjarto, said that the country has a scenario for protecting 150,000 Hungarians in Transcarpathia.
