Marcell Jacobs said yes.

The Olympic athletics champion got married this afternoon with a civil ceremony in Gardone Riviera in Bresciano, on Lake Garda, where Jacobs - black tuxedo, shiny shoe and sunglasses - arrived by motorboat from Desenzano. 

In a white dress and very excited the companion Nicole Daza, who just today turned 29, and who is the mother of two of the three children of the champion.

The groom was accompanied by his mother, the first fan of the Azzurri. 

For a very armored wedding reserved for 150 guests - some also arrived from America such as Marcel's grandmother, Claudia, while her father Lamont remained in the United States for health problems - hundreds of onlookers greeted the couple when they left Desenzano del Garda and then when they arrived in Gardone Riviera. 

The civil wedding was celebrated a stone's throw from the waters of the lake.

Coach Paolo Camossi, the witness, accompanied Marcell also in this adventure and many friends of athletics celebrated the blue star of speed, from the Olympic gold medal in the high jump Gianmarco Tamberi, to the relay teammate in Tokyo Fausto Desalu, in Paolo Dal Molin, Johanelis Herrera, Laura Strati.

With them the president of Fidal Stefano Mei, the president of Coni Giovanni Malagò, the federal vice president and DT Fiamme Oro Sergio Baldo, among the approximately 150 guests who made the day of the man who became the legend unique.

The wedding of Marcell and Nicole completes a summer of sports weddings like that of the swimmer Federica Pellegrini and her coach Matteo Giunta and the Olympic and European high jump champion Gianmarco Tamberi with Chiara Bontempi.
