Lakso (MP) about the intense final sprint: "It was incredibly exciting"

The preliminary election results showed that the Green Party in both Sörmland and Jönköping counties received the same number of votes.

After the control count, it was clear on Friday evening that the election result was in Sörmland's favor.

This means that Linus Lakso (MP) will become a Member of Parliament and Emma Hult (MP) from Jönköping will lose her seat.

- We are good friends and I know that she would have been a great member of parliament.

The best thing, we both think, would have been if the Green Party had received even more votes so that we both had the opportunity to sit in the Riksdag, says Linus Lakso (MP).

“Had a positive feeling”

Also in the 2018 election, Linus Lakso topped the party's ballots in Sörmland and ended up outside the Riksdag with a margin of only a few hundred votes.

Now the dream of a seat in the Riksdag has come true.

- I actually had a positive feeling in my stomach.

I don't know why, but it still felt like it should work this time. 

In the Riksdag, Linus Lakso hopes that he will be able to tackle energy and climate issues.
