the special prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan

.

Thirteen years to the day after the painful events of September 28, 2009, in the stadium of Conakry, the victims of the horror finally hope that justice will be done.

It was time to be here today and listen to what the minister told us.

I admit that we are really very satisfied.

On September 28, we accept it.

We hope that, finally, we will have peace on September 28th.

We wish to have a lasting peace for the people of Guinea.

For Kairaba Kaba, the minister's adviser and spokesperson for the chancellery, previous governments have done nothing for the victims:

“

Since the commission of this mass crime, thirteen years ago, what had been missing for what is being prepared now, what is ready to take place now, to come true?

Only one element: political will.

Thanks to the changes that have taken place, we have had at the head of this country a man who has energy, who has the will, who wants to get things done.

I mean Colonel

Mamadi Doumbouya

It should be remembered that thirteen people, including Captain Moussa Dadis Camara, head of state in power at the time, were charged and sent to a criminal court in Conakry.
