According to Peru's "Gazette" report on the 15th, the Peruvian Ministry of Health recently reported that the number of confirmed cases of monkeypox in the country has risen to 2015. These infected people come from 18 regions of the country, but most Most are concentrated in the capital Lima.

  Of the 2015 confirmed cases, 1,590 were reported in the capital city of Lima, while the others were in Lima province (20), Callao (133), La Libertad (102), Arequipa (79), Ucayali (14 cases), Cusco (11 cases), Ica (11 cases), Piura (9 cases), Lambayeque (9 cases), Loreto (7 cases), Tacna (7 cases), Ancash (6 cases), San Martín ( 5 cases), Madre de Dios (3 cases), Junin (3 cases), Huanuco (3 cases), Cajamarca (2 cases) and Puno (1 case).

  The Peruvian Ministry of Health reminded the public to avoid contact with confirmed patients in order to prevent infection with the monkeypox virus, and advised the public to wash their hands frequently and use masks.

The Ministry of Health also urged that if symptoms develop, they should be quarantined.
