Finch noted that the imposed sanctions still allow civil Russian-American cooperation on the space station.

“The professional relationship between our international partners, astronauts and cosmonauts continues in the name of ensuring the safety and fulfillment of the mission of all who are on board the ISS,” he said.

On September 15, the US imposed a new package of sanctions against Russia.

Under the sanctions, in particular, included in the "Roscosmos" "Russian Space Systems", NPO Lavochkin and ISS Reshetnev.
