“The Treasury Department is taking additional steps to deprive Russia of access to key services by US companies.

Today, the agency is issuing a determination prohibiting the export, re-export, sale or supply, directly or indirectly, from the United States or by a U.S. person, wherever located, of quantum computing services to any person located in the Russian Federation,” the statement said.

About 30 Russian companies related to the production of microcircuits and quantum computing fell under the restrictions, writes RIA Novosti.

In May, it was reported that Japan was banning the export of high-tech equipment to Russia, including 3D printers and quantum computing equipment.
