“Yes, now every head of the region should act as responsibly as possible in his post and help our troops,” he wrote on Telegram.

In total, more than 800 volunteers were sent from the Kursk region to various military units participating in the special operation in Ukraine, Starovoit said.

“Including our logistical support battalion “Seim”, which will be engaged in the delivery of fuel, food, ammunition and everything necessary,” he said.

All fighters before being sent are trained in special centers of the relevant units, the head of the region emphasized.

As Kadyrov said earlier, Russia is a federal state in which the regions can be the initiators of any undertakings, and "self-mobilization should become one of such undertakings today."

The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, commenting on his words, said that the republic had trained more than 1,200 volunteers to participate in a special operation in Ukraine and was forming two more battalions.
