Chang Zhengguo, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of China, led the Chinese handover delegation, relevant personnel of the Chinese Embassy in South Korea, and relevant personnel of the Ministry of National Defense of South Korea and its affiliated remains excavation and identification team to attend the ceremony.

  On the same day, the "Temporary Relocation Center for the Remains of Chinese People's Volunteers Martyrs" in Incheon was filled with flower baskets presented by the Chinese delegation and the Chinese Embassy in South Korea, paying tribute to the Chinese People's Volunteers Martyrs in a solemn atmosphere.

All members of the Chinese handover delegation bowed three times to the martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers and presented flowers.

  Afterwards, the Korean staff dressed in white carried the remains of the volunteer martyrs, wrapped the remains in white paper, put them into a wooden coffin, and placed flowers on the coffin.

  In addition to the remains, there are also relics such as water bottles, military shoes, pens, seals, mirrors, etc.

Each relic has been cleaned, numbered, registered, labeled, and stored in categories. It will be transported back to China with the remains of the volunteers on September 16, local time.

  According to the relevant person in charge of the South Korean remains excavation and identification team, from 2019 to 2021, South Korea has excavated a total of 88 remains of Chinese People's Volunteers martyrs in six areas including the DMZ (DPRK-ROK Demilitarized Zone) and Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, and 837 related relics.

From 2014 to 2021, the South Korean side has handed over the remains of 825 Chinese People's Volunteers in South Korea to China for eight consecutive years.
