His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, received a written message from the President of the sisterly People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, inviting His Highness to participate in the work of the 31st regular session of the Arab Summit, to be hosted by Algeria next November.

This came during the reception of His Highness, the President of the State, yesterday, at Qasr Al Bahr Council, the Minister of Energy and Mines, the special envoy of the Algerian President, Mohamed Arkab, who delivered the message and conveyed the greetings of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to His Highness, and his wishes for the UAE and its people further progress and prosperity.

His Highness conveyed the Special Envoy his best regards to the Algerian President, and his best wishes to his brotherly people for continued security, stability and progress.

In addition, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during a phone call from the Prime Minister of friendly Japan, Fumio Kishida, discussed various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to strengthen and expand their horizons.

During the call, the two sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern, and ways to support the foundations of peace and cooperation in the Middle East and the world.

The contact touched on the UAE's hosting of the 28th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in 2023, and the importance of this conference in advancing international cooperation in facing the threat of climate change.
