Putin informed the CSTO about Russia's steps to de-escalate on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan

“President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has brought information to the members of the CSC about additional practical steps by the Russian side aimed at de-escalating the tension that has arisen,” the statement says.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during the meeting of the CSTO called on the parties to abandon the use of force methods of solution and immediately start negotiations.

On the night of September 13, the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported that the Azerbaijani military was shelling the country's territory with artillery and using drones.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry also noted clashes on the border with Armenia.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, in turn, accused the Armenian side of "large-scale sabotage in the Dashkesan, Kalbajar and Lachin directions", which resulted in "losses among personnel and damage to military infrastructure."
