• Center party: Hultsfred (formerly Mönsterås)

The center party is now the strongest in Hultsfred, despite the fact that they backed down compared to the 2018 municipal election, with -1.2 percentage points.

In the 2022 municipal election, they received 32.3 percent of the vote and overtook Mönsterås, where the party went back by -14.4 percentage points and "Centerås" exploded.

• The Christian Democrats: Markaryd

The Christian Democrats retain their home town in Markaryd, even though this year's municipal election did not go as well as the 2018 election. In the 2022 municipal election, they received 38 percent of the vote, the election before they received 39 percent.

• Liberals: Kalmar and Växjö (formerly Oskarshamn)

From having had its strongest stronghold in Oskarshamn, there are now two municipalities that share that title – Kalmar and Växjö.

In both municipalities, the party received 3.6 percent of the vote.

The reason why the stronghold is moving is not that L made some great choices in Kalmar and Växjö, but that the party lost a full 8.5 percentage points in Oskarshamn and backed down to 2.4 percent of the votes.

• Moderates: Ljungby (formerly Växjö)

The moderates have previously had a strong foothold in Ljungby, but they have been strongest in Växjö - until now.

In the 2022 municipal election, the party in Ljungby won and received 28.5 percent of the vote.

In Växjö, the party fell by -2.1 percentage points and received 27.4 percent of the vote.

• The Social Democrats: Borgholm (formerly Kalmar)

The Social Democrats in Borgholm took a big step forward in the 2022 municipal election. With 43.2 percent of the vote, they are now one of Sweden's largest Social Democratic municipalities.

In Kalmar, which was previously the party's strongest stronghold, the Soss fell behind by -4.2 percentage points and received 38.3 percent of the vote.

• Left Party: Vimmerby

Vimmerby continues to be the Västerpartiet's strongest stronghold.

In this year's election, they increased by +1.8 percentage points and received 10.9 percent of the vote.

In the 2018 municipal election, they received 9.13 percent.

• Sweden Democrats: Torsås (formerly Högsby)

The Sweden Democrats have previously had a strong foothold in Torsås and after the municipal elections in 2022 it can be stated that they are once again strongest there.

With 28.5 percent of the votes, they pass SD in Högsby, which backs down in the election and ends up with 21.6 percent.

To add is that Högsby in the 2022 election is the only municipality in Kalmar and Kronoberg counties where the party is not moving forward.

• The Green Party: Kalmar (formerly Växjö)

Växjö has previously been the Green Party's hometown.

In the 2018 municipal election, they received 4.16 percent of the vote, but in this year's election, they backed down and just passed the percentage barrier with 3.1 percent.

The party's strongest stronghold will instead be Kalmar.

There they end at 3.8 percent and increase by barely +0.1 percentage points.
