During the night, when all of Sörmland's municipalities had preliminarily counted the votes submitted, they were sent to Nyköping and the county board.

It is now the county board's task to check and count the votes of the people of Sörmland for both the Riksdag, municipal and regional elections.

A few things differ between the different bills.

- The difference between the counting that the municipalities do on election night and what we do here at the county board is that we assess and review the votes.

We also count the name crosses.

You don't do that on election night, so it's a very big part of our work, says Rebecka Kleréus, election coordinator at the county board.

Queues do not affect

The fact that queues formed at polling stations around Sweden on election night is nothing that will affect the control count, says Rebecka Kleréus.

- We have those votes here or they are on their way here.

We are accepting votes all day today.

However, what can affect how long it takes are precisely the early votes that were submitted both on Saturday and Sunday and that will reach us on Wednesday.

In the clip, you hear election coordinator Rebecka Kleréus about which votes may decide and when their counting will be finished.
