A 12-year-old girl died crushed by a school bus this Monday at the end of the day in Lamothe-Montravel (Dordogne).
The facts occurred around 5.30 p.m., at the end of the school day, reports France Bleu Périgord.
The bus had just dropped off several children in front of the town's station.
He drove off again as the schoolgirl was crossing the street and hit her.
The firefighters and a doctor from the Samu transported by helicopter were immediately mobilized.
The bus driver heard
Despite a 45-minute cardiac massage, the victim could not be resuscitated and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Many people, including children still on the bus, witnessed the dramatic accident.
Several psychological cells have been set up to support the witnesses and relatives of the deceased schoolgirl.
The Bergerac prosecutor's office has opened an investigation for "manslaughter" targeting the school bus driver.
