Watch Maria Solevid describe the tricky parliamentary situation in the region in the clip above.

On Monday, when 95 percent of the votes for the regional election were counted, it was clear that the current blue-green minority government had weakened.

But they have one mandate more than the block with S and V.

MP can change blocks

The blue-greens have said that they are happy to govern in the future, but the Green Party opened ten days before the election to change blocks if more green policies are passed there.

- We are weakened, but we are still the largest minority in the current constellation, says regional council candidate Lars Holmin to SVT Nyheter Väst.

The Democrats are leaving

On the other hand, it is clear that the Democrats lose their seat in the regional council and that the Social Democrats and the Sweden Democrats increase by 2.6 percentage points each.

S is still the largest party, followed by M and SD.

SVT has sought the Green Party in the Västra Götaland region for a comment without success.

In the clip below, you can see how it looked at the Left Party's election vigil on Sunday.

Then the party appeared to be going significantly stronger than what is clear when more votes are counted.
